Ajax signs new head coach
Alfred Schreuder takes over at the Amsterdam club
Ajax and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alfred Schreuder to Ajax. Schreuder will sign a two-year contract that starts on July 1st, 2022.
Schreuder is a former player and coach for Ajax. He was part of the Ajax team that won the Champions League in 1995. After his playing career, Schreuder became a coach. He has coached Hoffenheim, Schalke 04, and Club Brugge.
Ajax is one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands. They have won the Eredivisie 35 times and the KNVB Cup 20 times. Ajax is also known for their youth academy, which has produced some of the best players in the world, such as Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, and Dennis Bergkamp.
Schreuder is expected to bring a new style of play to Ajax. He is known for his attacking style of football. Ajax fans will be hoping that Schreuder can lead the club to success in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.
