Suns Win Game 1 of Playoffs Against Pelicans
Bridges, Paul Lead the Way

The Phoenix Suns took Game 1 of their NBA playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans 124-111 on Saturday night. Mikal Bridges led the way for the Suns with a playoff career-high 31 points and four blocks. Chris Paul added 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists, including 19 points in the fourth quarter.
The Pelicans were led by Brandon Ingram's 28 points. Zion Williamson added 25 points and 8 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Suns' balanced attack.
The Suns took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Pelicans 35-21. Bridges and Paul were both key in the run, combining for 22 points in the quarter.
The Pelicans made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Suns were able to hold on for the win. Paul hit a key three-pointer with just over two minutes remaining to seal the victory.
The Suns now have a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 will be played in New Orleans on Tuesday night.
