A History of Diplomatic Relations

Slovenia has maintained a close relationship with Ukraine since the latter's independence in 1991. Diplomatic relations were established on March 10th, 1992, and Slovenia has consistently supported Ukraine's integration into the international community.

Condemnation of Russian Aggression

In 2014, Slovenia strongly condemned the Russian annexation of Crimea, recognizing it as a violation of international law. Prime Minister Janez Janša visited Kyiv during the Russian invasion in 2022, expressing Slovenia's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ongoing Assistance

Slovenia has provided humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine throughout the conflict. According to Dr. Robert Golob, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, the country will continue to offer support within its capabilities.

Participation in Peace Summit
